About Orange Mobile Broadband
Orange have a variety of well priced mobile broadband plans available, starting as low as £10 a month or less. Where Orange really shines however, is with the sign up bonuses they offer. Orange offer three separate deals that come with a free laptop. At the lowest end of the price spectrum the new subscriber is given a reasonable ASUS EEE PC 901, at the higher end of the price bracket the subscriber receives a fully featured Toshiba laptop worth several hundred pounds.
For the more basic Orange mobile broadband packages, the subscriber is supplied with a free Orange branded USB dongle to connect their PC or laptop to the 3G network. The subscriber may choose to receive a black, pink or white dongle. These are given entirely freely on the low cost, low data allowance plans.
Another area in which Orange proves they are aiming to be head of the pack when it comes to mobile broadband is in the extra data bundles available. For people who wish to add extra data allowances to their existing plan they can purchase bandwidth in blocks of 1Gb, 3Gb, 5Gb or 10Gb. This means that even the heaviest use of the internet is possible for people who are willing to upgrade their current plan to cover their data requirements.
The Orange mobile broadband network is quite extensive and covers every major city and most smaller ones; it also reaches into a larger area of the countryside around major road and rail arteries. Orange definitely make a fine choice for people who expect to be moving around the UK quite often, as it is fairly certain that you will have Orange mobile broadband coverage in most places.
Orange offers a varying range of contract durations for pre-paid mobile internet access. The shortest being 12 months, the longest being 36 months. Signing up for the longer term packages may seem like the best way to ensure the best price. This may actually be a mistake as 3G is a new technology and usage costs are likely to drop in the coming months. Although it should be noted that Orange have a long history of allowing existing customers to renegotiate their contracts down to current rates by simply calling the customer care centre. All in all Orange are an excellent mobile broadband provider, a fantastic choice for both business and home users alike.
