Sky and Virgin mobile broadband praised for excellent service

According to a wide-ranging poll, broadband providers Sky and Virgin mobile broadband come out as top broadbrand providers in the UK. The new survey shows that the broadband bundles provided by Sky and Virgin Media are undoubtedly among the most recommended by consumers.

A study done by analyst firm Satmetrix meant to find how much customers were prepared to recommend a company?s services to other people found that Virgin and Sky were well ahead of other UK ISPs.

They managed to beat off rivals such as Orange, TalkTalk and even BT, being placed among industry leaders of other fields such as Apple and Sony.

While studying 8,700 Brits an NPC (Net Promoter Score) was used to asses the chances of someone suggesting a certain brand to one of his/her friends. Sky and Virgin had an NPC of almost 10%.

This shows that positive word of mouth can help customer retention as well as lead to new customer acquisition. The overall ISP industry performance was about 21 points below Virgin and Sky which is an average of 11%.

A recent drive launched by Sky to attract new customers consists of 20Mbps broadband, TV and home phone. The package costs under £20 a month.
