New breed of broadband - Broadband 2.0!


The need for service providers to prepare themselves for Broadband 2.0 networks that can handle HD video futuristic multimedia services a speed in excess of 100 Mbps has been driven by video.

In response to this need internet service providers across the globe, including those in Japan and Korea are using hybrid methods, including heavy use of the existing copper infrastructure along with fibre for the backbone in order to ensure that they will be totally ready to complete the latest connections for their clients.

This next, albeit hybrid Broadband 2.0 networks are expected to be able to deliver at a speed of 100Mbps and beyond.

In addition to their performance and pseed of delivery, the Broadband 2.0 networks are expected to be able to deliver this performance to home users for a much lower cost than if they were using fibre implementations, because they build on what is already there, it?s possible to make use of the existing structure.
