More Mobile Network Problems Caused by Smart Phones

It is true that a great number of people have benefited from the 3G mobile networks lately but this has also brought about some problems. The increased popularity of Smart Phones, which means an ever greater number of Smart Phones bought and used, is jeopardising the effectiveness of the networks.

We cannot deny the level of convenience, flexibility and freedom that the existing 3G networks provide; however, the big number of Smart Phones used all over the UK is affecting the networks.

Smart Phones and other mobile devices have a negative influence upon the capacity of the networks and things can get worse with heavy data transfers. The effect upon the 3G networks is that they become slower and less efficient.

Experts believe that such problems will not cease to appear unless serious upgrades are carried out so that the next generation of networks (4G) come sooner. These will be able to handle traffic congestion without affecting thousands of other users.

With smart phones like Apple iPhone 4, which has become extremely popular in the last few months, the increased traffic is likely to get even worse and this will cause trouble to many of those who rely on 3G networks to get online while they are on the go.
