Increased Options with Mobile Wi-Fi Device from Vodafone

Vodafone have just launched a new gadget. This pocket-sized kit, similar to last year?s Three MiFi product, is a mobile Wi-Fi device which allows five users to connect their five Wi-Fi devices to a single internet access point by means of mobile broadband.

The new Vodafone Mobile Wi-Fi R201 enables the connection of a Wi-Fi-enabled device to a 3G network. In this way, the connectivity options will increase considerably.

This sounds like the ideal device for the contemporary owners of mobile phones, laptops, music players and tablet PCs. as it supports as many as five users who can share their connection at the same time.

According to the Vodafone spokesperson, the device can run on a battery (which lasts about 4 hours) or can be plugged in or connected via USB.

The device is very attractive to users as it certainly offers a lot of flexibility, more than a dongle does. The speed provided is over 7Mbit/s on the downlink and almost 6Mbit/s on the uplink. It can also support MicroSD cards of 32MB.

If you sign a £25 18-month contract you will receive the device for free and 5GB allowance every month. On a £20/4GB contract the device costs £29 while on a £15/3GB contract you will have to pay £49.
