Google Boss about the Future of Mobile Broadband
According to the new figures released, we have found that about two million Brits more went online last year. This tells a lot about the future of mobile broadband. As one Google chief claims, the future of broadband lies in the mobile technology. Slowly, mobile broadband will become outstandingly important in the future.
As reported by the Daily Telegraph, Matt Brittin, Google's UK chief executive is positive that the next 'big shift' will take us towards mobile broadband. There are an impressive number of people who use the Internet no matter their age but almost 30% of them access the Internet by means of their mobile phones.
Analysts believe that the number of consumers who are likely to access the Internet from their phones instead of the desktop is expected to increase in the next three years.
This will be great for both broadband and smart phone providers. However, there will be some challenges such as educating firms about business broadband and online retail opportunities.
Figures coming from the UK OMC and Nielsen reveal that the number of internet users in the UK has increased from almost 37 million to 39 million in the last year, which equals 5%.
