Free computers from Redten with home broadband

Last year Talk Talk offered free broadband with their home phone service. Sky and Orange offered the same with their TV and mobile phones. We love such offers as they give us the feeling that we get much more for what we pay.

Now Redten, which is part of Watford Electronics, gives away PCs. There are three home Internet packages and one business one. Partnering with BT, the nation?s biggest broadband provider, Redten looks like a wise choice. The speed is up to 8Mb and a free upgrade to 24 Mb will soon be available.

There are unlimited downloads so you won?t have to stop using the broadband when you reach a limit. They provide antivirus and antispam software, as well as online and phone support round the clock.

Moreover, there will also be a three-year hardware guarantee for the computer, the LG RedTen PC (19" LG monitor, Intel Pentium 4 processor 160GB of memory and 512MB RAM, DVD writer, graphics card and stereo speakers) which is good and can perform adequately for most of us.

The most expensive packages will come with a colour printer, scanner and wireless internet. The Windows XP included can be upgraded to Windows Vista if you like, for no additional charge.
