BT Customers enjoy better mobile broadband coverage


Broadband provider BT has announced that they are expanding their Wi-Fi or mobile broadband coverage in the UK wchich will offer their customers unlimited access. Indeed, there will be no restrictions when using Wi-Fi hotspots all over the country.

BT is ready to offer its customers the much longed-for unlimited access to the BT Fon and Openzone wireless hotspots. This translates into people being able to use their laptops and iPads while they are moving. As the company claims, they will be allowed to access speedy internet connections at over a million and a half UK locations. 

The consumer managing director for BT Retail, John Petter, says that the company has realised the increasing need for mobile access to the Internet because of the growing number of BT customers who are also owners of mobile devices.

The BT Fon and BT Openzone networks recorded a notable expansion by 800,000 hotspots during the last year and the company expects to reach over 2.5 million hotspots by the end of next year.

John Petter added that his Wi-Fi coverage is considered a unique opportunity for BT customers and will be included in all BT Total Broadband packages. Moreover, BT will expand its fixed-line broadband network with super fast fibre optic broadband across over 85% of London.
