Illegal file sharing culled first in Ireland
In the history of the Internet no country has ever taken action as far as disconnecting a user from their broadband connection for illegally sharing files, until now. Ireland is the country to have taken the first step in disconnecting broadband for those sharing files illegally.

UK broadband speed slower than Uganda!
It may come as no big surprise to some, but after a study was conducted to compare broadband speeds accross different countries, the United Kingdom came in at a dismal 35th! This makes uk broadband slower than that of Uganda.

Is the iPad being launched 28th of May?
Does anyone know the official launch date for Apple iPads? It seems some sources are quoting the original launch date of May 28th is still on, however, others are saying due to demand in the US, the UK iPad launch date has been put back to the 7th June.

Apple iPad sold 200,000 units already
The iPad is over achieving in the area of sales volume with Apple in America. The new tablet unit is even out selling the popular Mac product from Apple, and some experts say there could be an increased need for high speed mobile broadband in the UK once it hits our shores.

O2 wins Which? award for best technology services provider
O2 are going from strength to strength it would appear as it was revealed that they recently won a Which? award for being the best technology services provider in the UK. There was stiff competition in the mobile broadband industry but O2 seemed to have pulled it off!

According to German news, an unknowing resident happened to leave his wi-fi connection open without securing it, to then find out that other people had been using it to illegally download software.

Eighteen million broadband connections last year
Last year there were 18 million broadband connections in the United Kingdom, Ofcom has revealed. The number is set to increase exponentially in 2010, especially with the growing popularity in mobile broadband.
