3.5G mobile broadband in June says Vodafone
Vodafone have announced that in June they will be launching their 3.5G broadband service. The HSPA+ mobile broadband service will aim to get speeds of around 14.4Mbs has blatantly been under wraps until now...
Vodafone mobile broadband customers will be lucky enough to upgrade to the 3.5G as soon as the launch date is confirmed. This could see users from other providers jump ship so they can get the faster mobile broadband speeds.
Previously fairly hush-hush, the new 3.5G mobile broadband offering from Vodafone was said to be ready around September time. As the launch is greatly fast tracked, this could see Vodafone gaining a better market share for mobile broadband.
3G currently allows speeds of up to 7.2mb, in some cases a bit more, but this is apparently quite rare. With faster speeds, more people may use mobile broadband even more than they do currently which could incur greater charges, or even make way for larger data allowance packages.
